| THE ENVIRONMENT YOU WORK IN
The environment you work in is very important. Unplug the phone and make sure you will not be disturbed. Then you need to choose a room that will also not be disturbed.
Place everything you will be using for the ritual in the appropriate place on the altar, ready to be cleansed and purified, including a lighter and the gown you will be wearing when you get out of your cleansing and purifying bath.
SAMHAIN SABBAT RITUAL
START THE CEREMONY BY CASTING THE CIRCLE

Things you will need:
Your athame.
Your bell.
Your besom.
And everything you will be
using in the ceremony.
Using your besom, sweep away all of the negative energies from where you are about to work your Samhain ritual. Cleanse and purify the area making sure all of the tools you will be using are within the circle and upon your pentacle. When you are ready, collect your bell from the altar and ring it three times to open the ceremony then return it to your altar.
Collect your first athame, stand in the middle of where you are about to cast the circle of three. |
| Facing the East, holding out your athame as though it was an extension of yourself, extend your arm and in a clockwise direction, use your athame to make a circle around yourself three times.
Saying the following words
as you cast the first circle: " I …NAME…,
CHILD OF THE MOON GODDESS AND THE SUN GOD,
CAST THE CIRCLE OF PROTECTION
AROUND ME AND MINE. "

As you cast the second circle:
" I CAST THE CIRCLE OF POWER AROUND MYSELF. "

As you cast the third circle:
" I CAST THE CIRCLE OF POSITIVE ENERGIES
AROUND ME AND MINE.
THE CIRCLE OF THREE
NOW CAST AROUND ME,
LET THE ENERGIES
OF POWER,
PROTECTION
AND POSITIVE ENEGIES
FLOW AROUND ME. "
The circle is now cast.
Place your athame back on to your altar.
CALL FORTH
THE FOUR GUARDIAN SPIRITS
Things you will need:
A cleansed yellow, red, blue and green candle.
A cleansed lighter.
Offerings of your choice.
Light each of the candles in turn to represent the Guardian spirit you are calling upon.
Start in the East and finish in the North making an offering of your choice in each quarter.

◊ A pentacle in the North.
Light the yellow candle, whilst saying the following words:

TO HEAR MY PLEA,
TO GUIDE AND ASSIST ME

OF …SWEET INCENSE…
ONTO THEE. "

Light the red candle, whilst saying the following words:
" I …NAME…,
STAND BEFORE THE GATES
OF THE WATCHTOWER OF THE SOUTH.
I CALL FORTH THE
GUARDIAN SPIRIT OF FIRE
TO HEAR MY PLEA,
TO GUIDE AND ASSIST ME
AND PASS YOUR POSITIVE ENERGIES
THROUGH ME.
I BRING OFFERINGS
OF ...THE FLAME... I CAN SEE
ONTO THEE. "
Light the blue candle, whilst saying the following words:
" I …NAME…,
STAND BEFORE THE GATES
OF THE WATCHTOWER OF THE WEST.
I CALL FORTH THE
GUARDIAN SPIRIT OF WATER
TO HEAR MY PLEA,
TO GUIDE AND ASSIST ME
AND PASS YOUR POSITIVE ENERGIES
THROUGH ME.
I BRING OFFERINGS
OF ...WATER AND SHELLS FROM THE SEA...
ONTO THEE. "
