Please feel free to email me with any questions you've got. You might find me or the answer in The Gathering Room right now.
Q: Are you born a witch or can anyone become one?
A: We’re all born with the ability to use the universal energies and those of us who do call ourselves wise ones, witches, wizards or Wiccans.
Q: Why do candles need to be snuffed, not just blown out?
A: To make sure the energies in the candles are completely closed.
Q: Can I do more than one spell at a time?
A: No, not at the same time. But you can clear your altar then cleanse and purify it and use the same altar and elemental candles for your next spell if the time is right.
Q: How do I bind and protect myself against negative energies?
A: By saying the following words aloud or in your head every day, "I bind and protect myself in the circle of three; power, protection and positive energy."
Q: Should I write all my own spells?
A: I always think it’s best to write your own words then you’re putting your full energy into the spell.
Q: I am thinking of doing a prosperity spell. Is it ok to ask for money?
A: You can only call forth on what’s rightfully yours like an inheritance, so bind and protect your loved ones and mind your spell words.
Q: How do I find out my spiritual name?
A: Follow this link for details.
Q: Does being a witch make you psychic?
A: Using the universal energies of nature puts you more in touch with your spiritual self and this promotes psychic ability.
Q: I was told witches should not point in anger. Why is that?
A: If you point at someone in anger there’s one of your fingers pointing at them and three of your fingers pointing back at you, so you’re sending back negative energies three fold to yourself.
Q: Can I use normal salt for purifying?
A: Yes but it must be cleansed under a full moon.
Q: Why do you bury spell candles?
A: So the energies of the spell can’t be messed about with.
Q: I am going to have a wooden chest made to store my tools in. Is there any particular wood I should or should not use?
A: I can’t answer this as the thought of any wood being cut down in my name would hurt me.
Q: Which oil should I use to dress spell candles with?
A: You choose the oil you feel is right for you. I like to use pine oil but remember you only use one drop on your finger - you don’t want to cover the candle with oil as oil is highly flammable.
Q: Can you suggest the best fragrance to use with my besom?
A: Sage is one of the best, if not the best for cleansing negative energies.
Q: What sort of ink should I write my spells with?
A: It’s great when you’ve got the parchment paper and dove's ink or dragon's ink, but if needs must and it's all you can get hold of, coloured paper and felt tip pens will work just as well, but stick to the appropriate colours.
